NEW this year, Miss King will be running a craft club for Year 3/4 pupils during a Monday lunchtime. It will be free to attend and there will be a variety of crafts to try out and practise. Watch this space for some photos and updates.

Weaving, September 2023

First up, we are learning to weave using simple cardboard looms. We've managed to start off with our warp thread, we learned how to do rya knots to place a fringe on the bottom and next we'll add the weft in our favourite colours. This is what we've been inspired by:

        

      

     

Monday 23rd October

We've almost finished the weaving and our woven wall hangings are looking amazing!

Monday 6th November

The children have worked hard on their first craft project and some have now finished! Look at the end results!

           

     

Christmas Cards, December 2023

For December, we've been making some simple, but effective, Christmas cards with yarn and beads. I hope a few loved ones received these handmade cards: they were made with much care and love by the children in craft club.
