Inspired by 'Dave The Lonely Monster' and as a stimulus for our descriptive writing tomorrow, we headed to Echo Rock A.K.A the School Wood and constructed Dave's retirement cave. Mr Mulholland's wheelbarrow became Dave's rocking chair for one group and for another, a bucket became Dave's cauldron hanging from a tripod! Each group showed they had used the clues from the story to build a home Dave would feel really comfortable in. With all of our constructing complete, the only thing left to do was celebrate in true Dave style ... with a ... rave!
